Is there a statute/rule that requires haulers to register?

How do I register with NHDES?

By filling out the Commercial Solid Waste Hauler Registration Form OR by submitting the same information in writing on company letterhead, plain paper, or via email at solidwasteinfo@des.nh.gov. If submitting via email, please type “Hauler Registration” in the subject line.

What are the annual reporting requirements for solid waste haulers?

Haulers must report to NHDES annually the quantity (in tons), source (by town), and destination of certain types of solid waste collected in New Hampshire. This needs to be done on the Solid Waste Hauler Reporting Form provided by NHDES. Annual reports are due by March 31 of each year.

Is there a fee to register and how long will it take to process the registration?

No fee. Typically, NHDES will acknowledge receipt of the registration information within five (5) business days.

Does the registration expire?

No, the registration does not expire. However, the registration should be updated by the hauler whenever registration information changes.

What if my information changes?
